Visibly improve the appearance of:

  • fine lines

  • wrinkles

  • surgical, acne Scars and trauma scars

  • stretch marks

  • pigmentation

  • Rejuvenation

  • Mild Rosacea

Does the treatment hurt?

SkinStylus® microneedling treatment doesn’t hurt. Before treatment toppical anaestetic will be applied, which will cause numbing sensation and will eliminate pains during the process. During the treatment it is possible to experience minor pin-point bleeding, but not ongoing.

How quickly are results visible?

Visibly rejuvenated skin can generally be seen after just 6-8 days following a procedure, with results further improving over time. A course of SkinStylus® sessions is usually recommended to achieve optimal results; however, improvement is usually noticeable after just one treatment.

Is the SkinStylus® Safe?

The SkinStylus® MicroSystem can be reprocessed in an autoclave sterilizer! Other systems can trap biohazardous fluids inside the device that cannot be removed or reprocessed in an autoclave. Don’t put your clients and yourself at risk of cross contamination! The SkinStylus® Biolock™ cartridge has a unique, patent pending, seven step safety system designed to stop any fluids or ink from getting through the cartridge and into the device. The Biolock™ cartridge is also gamma ray sterilized to ensure client safety.

Redundant Safety Systems: SkinStylus® practitioners can rest assured that even in the unlikely event that fluids or ink were somehow able to exit the Biolock™ cartridge, the SkinStylus® nose cone can be reprocessed in an autoclave after each use further minimizing the risk of cross-contamination.

Are there any side effects or risks associated with skin needling?

Side effects experienced with SkinStylus® will usually subside within 48 hours. They include erythema, stinging, itching and tightness of the skin.

My face has a few slightly raised red and itchy lesions today, is that normal and something the client may experience?

Yes absolutely normal. Some people just get red and dry skin, others get quite flaky dry and red skin, others tend to break out in lots of lumps like pimples but they go away in 3 days. So yes, it is normal and is just the body purging itself of toxins.

What can be expected after SkinStylus® treatment?

Day 1: Erythema and redness, severity of which will depend upon the aggressiveness of the performed treatment.
Day 2: Red or pink hue similar to moderate sunburn may persist. There may be some noticeable swelling on the second day.
Day 3: Skin may still retain a pink hue, or return to normal color. Swelling subsides.

Should Botox users wait 6 weeks before having a Botox treatment?

Clients who have had Botox treatments should ideally wait 2 weeks either side of having SkinStylus® treatment.

What are the contraindications of micro needling treatments?

keloid or raised scarring; history of eczema, psoriasis and other chronic conditions; history of actinic (solar) keratosis; history of Herpes Simplex infections; history of diabetes; presence of raised moles, warts or any raised lesions on targeted area. Absolute contraindications include; scleroderma, collagen vascular diseases or cardiac abnormalities; Rosacea and blood clotting problems; active bacterial or fungal infection; immuno-suppression; scars less than 6 months old; and facial fillers in the past 6 months.

Can you receive a SkinStylus® treatment if pregnant?

Skin needling is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women due to a number of minor reasons. The needles produce micro-injuries, which trigger the natural wound healing response. This wound healing and production of new collagen requires vitamins and nutrients, which would otherwise be needed for the baby, so is suggested to not be used during pregnancy.
